How to take care of your Lawn
Scarify the lawn to remove thatch and moss before aerating the lawn with a fork or rotary lawn aerator.
Use a lawn feed and weed with moss killer. Start cutting the grass as the temperature goes above 7c and the grass begins to grow, fortnightly to start with.
Mow weekly and water if it begins to dry out.
Use a fertilizer to improve grass vigour and spray out any weeds before they really take hold.
If dry only mow when it needs it, use a sprinkler in the evening to reduce evaporation.
Last chance to feed with high nitrogen fertilizer any later and the soft lush growth can be damaged by frost.
Scarify lawn to remove moss and thatch improving aeration and drainage. Level bumps and dips in the lawn
Remove leaves from lawn to prevent yellowing and die back.
Continue mowing until grass slows and stops.
Stay off frosty grass as it will go black if you walk on it.
